Coach Ukai is having trouble deciding on a setter for their Nekoma game lineup.
Sugawara confronts Coach Ukai and tells him the best strategy would be to use Kageyama as the setter. Despite being a 3rd year, Sugawara is willing to sacrifice his play time for his team's potential. He's so mature, as expected of the Team Mom!
Third years team captain and ace overhear Sugawara's conversation with the coach. They're more determined than ever to win!

Kozume Kenma!!!!! Nekoma's setter! I've been waiting for this part to be animated ever since I read this in the manga. So cute ><

Sugawara found Hinata! I just love the setting of Haikyuu. The countryside an small town feel is so nostalgic.
This scene is pretty important for Hinata character development. We see that Hinata wants to become strong so that he can be recognized for his own volleyball abilities and not his ability to work together with Kageyama.
Line up for the Nekoma game! Sugawara won't be playing, but this is Karasuno's strongest arrangement.

Finally, Kozume Kenma and Kuroo!! Nekoma has made it's entrance! There was a lot packed into this episode, but it fulfilled my expectations for a lighthearted summary of some team bonding and growth before the start of the official games.
I'm so excited for the next episode. I've been curious to see how Nekoma's play would be animated - the receives and Kozume's setting style must be interesting to watch!
Hinata knows that he was only able to make it as a regular because of his quick strike. There's still a lot more room for him to grow!
Ahh!!!! Can't wait for next week!!!!!
